Power Avenue Project Partnership to Construct 8 New Rental Units for Disabled Veterans in Murfreesboro
In a unique partnership between Affordable Housing Futures and Alert Community Development Corporation will construct eight units of affordable and accessible rental housing for disabled veterans on the corner of Power Avenue and Smith Street in Murfreesboro.
Architectural drawings of the Power Avenue Project and the site plan were drawn by Picklesimer Roberts Architecture in Murfreesboro.
To date, we have site control and zoning for all 8 units has been approved. We hope to apply for a grant from the Tennessee Housing and Development Authority in December 2017.
For this project, Alert CDC will be the owner/developer. AHF will liaise with the Tennessee Valley Healthcare System and manage the project. Once the project is completed, AHF will provide asset management and tenant eligiblity verification and housing and credit counseling for all tenants.
